New to Shooting

It is just great to see how many people there are who are taking up shooting - as evidenced by the steady stream of requests for help and advice on Pigeon Watch.

This has got me thinking - in general, are the numbers of people starting to shoot on the rise - ie are the numbers of new shooters greater than the number who are giving up - for whatever reason.

If the answer is yes, then that is very good news.

Anyone out there have any definitive view on what the situation really is like?

Thanks for your kind reply - I have in fact been shooting for over 40 years [since 1965 in fact] and enjoy it as much now as ever.

I was just wondering if shooters were on the increase and whether there was a problem with getting land to shoot over, waiting lists that you mention and so on.
