secretagentmole
Basically it is a big regged Ultra, so the shots are always on the sweet spot, more shots per fill and it runs at 232 bar. Superb BSA barrel, will work well, sounds like you got a bargain there. They are a lovely rifle apart from that damned MMC system (how you cock the ruddy thing)! They are accurate, work well oh and have a link, so you can get on with the pump! Use a pump Is yours the single or multishot version? Oh and do not forget to join the BSA OG, a group of like minded people who like BSA rifles!

secretagentmole
Sudden thought, if you want to go multishot have a look here!!! Rowan Engineering Right if you buy one of these for the appropriate calibre you can go multi quickly, ok you have to turn the cylinder by hand but how good is this??? Rowan designed these for the Ultra, but because the Ultra breech and the Hornet breech are identical you will have a lovely 6 shot magazine, just flick, turn press bolt, there you go!!! They have sold plenty to Hornet owners and never had a fitting problem, if there is they will help you! Rowan are a good company, so you want to go multi, go Rowan! secretagentmole
If you do not have a silencer, invest in a Twink from A&M Custom Gunsmiths, superb British made silencer! A&M
Ginney
the hornet along with the s10 are the best of bsa

secretagentmole
Who is your local gunsmith? Philip Webster? Rowan Engineering are brilliant, they have made stuff for guns for years, hold customer satisfaction highly and are good value for money. Scope fo for at least a Hawke HD, try to get a MAP reticle on it, then get your gun chronoed. What pellets are you using? I have had experience with one of these guns and it's baby brother, I can help you get the best out of this!

Pellets: Philip sells these and BSA barrels love em! Cromsan Premier Ultra Magnums, .22, 14.3 grain. Scopes, have a word with him, check out the Hawke range, I know they are cheap but go for an adjustable optic with a MAP or SR reticle, get it chronoed (I know he has one of those, we bought his last battery for him) and use the data with Chairgun. With proper set up it will be superbly accurate to up to 50m! Get a silencer too, he had a load in last time we were down Swamp lane. As for your other air gun shop where you live, would not sound like a firm that does insurance does it? Oh yes!

Uncle Albert
Lovely rifle. I had the multishot version. Built like a tank but shot beautifully, accurate as well. It was my first PCP. Traded it in for an AA S410 as I got fed up with that MMC device.

Oh yes! yes mate they are the ones. i take it you may have had dealings with them. hope you had more luck than i did. as for the pellets i got some tried them and yes the gun did love them. i had phillip give my gun the once over just to make sure all was well having bought it second hand and i must say these are either a great made gun or it has been well looked after .but i think it is a case of both. as it came back with the all clear.as for the scope that will have to wait till next month as my four wheel chariot needed some work done on it. but i will take your advice an go see phillip again for another friendly chat. secretagentmole
We have had dealings with they in the expensive ham, they look down on one if one does not start talking about Theostaterauch! Also very full of themselves, Mr W has had a few guns come to him after they have had a bash at them (literally too from what I recall)! We only bought something from there for a friend who wanted it. never bought anything from there and never going to, overpriced and attitude to match. Sent you a PM about the scope, have something you might be interested in!
