bk
I'm really struggling to find a good quality butt pad for my 1985 686s. He stock is 132x35mm and is too narrow to fit the Limbsaver or Pachmayr pads too and the kickeez looks too soft for my liking. I mustn't be the first person to get one refurbished so what else is there out there??
nimms
Kickeez aren't to soft but they do absorb recoil. You shouldn't have much trouble getting a standard replacement or go down the grind to fit route. Avalon guns have a large selection on their website. Hope this helps. bk
The standard replacements don't fit as they are either too wide or not high enough. I can't find a grind to fit that will grind that narrow without interfering with the airspace (limbsaver) or metal plate (Pachmayr)
bk
Looks like kickeez is solid so would grind down. They're 2" thick though so anyone ground one down to 1.4" and would it look silly?
BlaserF3
I can recommend one of these http://www.recoilsystems.com/greenpad/green.asp much better than a kickeez and you grind it down as much as you need.

Give Simon at Doveridge Gun Repairs on 07816 918301 a call, he supplies and fits them and makes a great job.

BlaserF3
A Kick Eez pad does not reduce the recoil as well as an Isis pad, I have tried many different pads and an Isis pad is the best so far. Recoil is virtually non existent and there is no bounce at all.
bk
Recoil isn't a problem for me at all (6' and too many stone!) but just a descent pad that is comfortable and doesn't snag
BlaserF3
I have a plastic butt plate with those measurements off a Beretta, you can have it if you wish, it's 10mm thick at the middle 15mm at the top and 15mm at the bottom.
