Slipster
Having just finished reading the post on "Proof house cock up" I decided to look at my moderator that i purchased brand new when i purchased my .22 rimfire Marlin, I cannot find any markings on it that relate to a proof marking, Could anyone tell me what i should be looking for. If you buy a silencer on its own it will not normally show proof marks but as I posted elsewhere some dealers are now proofing silencers for firearms (not airguns) before selling them. CZ rifles are threaded before they are proofed and the rifles and silencers are proofed together and so the rifle and silencer should be kept together and sold together by the gunshop.
