Hi drut, is that a red dot sight or just a low mag scope? I assume you just use it for foxing, do you use slug or just heavy loads? Just curious as to how one would zero it for shot and why it would be necessary.

Sory to hijack the thread

At shotgun ranges it is not needed, if you can't shoot something at 40 yards with a basic shot gun why bother with such a contraption. I have seen a 12 bore (hushpower) fitted out with such a sight, a pistol grip and a stupid Armalite type stock. Can he hit the target better, to be honest I dont know the answer to this question, but I doubt it.

thats kind of what I was thinking, not really necesary for shot hence the slug question.

Sorry I cant help you with your question, however I would be interested in what effect if any the silencer would have if using slug or a heavy load. Indeed is it safe to use such loads with a supressed shotgun?

It is a red-dot sight, sight picture is strange with a Hushpower & often causes me to hit low with snap shots at static targets(strangely I have no problem with moving ones)hence the sight.I use the gun mainly for rabbits/crows but heavy loads are no problem:the suppressor/silencer seems to lessen the recoil compared to my o/u and does lessen the noise somewhat.Slug not a problem, especially as the choke has been opened to 1/2,but of no practical use for me.
