cockercas
my nan has a 6 month old cocker. when she takes it out for a a walk it will all of asudden remember its not at home and try its hardest to get home. it dosent happen at any given distance just when it 'remembers'. my first thort was because my nan and granddad wernt walking it together and it wanted to get back to the other. so they tried walking him together, put him in the car and took him to the woods, after half an hour he 'remembered' and run of towards some parked cars and tried to get in them. so my second thort was to distract him so the took my dog with them. same thing as soon as he 'remembered' he wanted to be home. any ideas, suggestions? arwen3513
sounds like he is lacking in confidence, maybe reduce the off lead time, and ensure it always has an enjoyable time when out to build up confidence dont make the walks too long maybe do 4 or 5 15mins walk rather than 1 hr one if poss. jan
