Would it kill the bird. Can somebody give me a brief instruction, and if this is the wrong gun please reccommend one for me but i do not have much money. Axe
Dale, welcome to the forum. You should have a look through the Airgun section of this forum. It is packed full of similar questions. A .177 airgun will be effective for most at a distance of up to 30yards. But before you start shooting live quarry, you should first ensure your shooting is up to it. You should be able to hit a 2pence coin at 30yards consistently before considering a live target. Once you are competant at this, then you should be able to do the head shots that are required. Another very important step is to learn of the legalities envolved. Have a look through the Useful Links and find the BASC website. It is very helpful and will guide you through the do's and don'ts. The airgun code of practice is a good place to start. Whilst your at the Basc website have a look at the insurance as this is another thing that you should consider. And when you have alittle time, consider filling in your profile.
