Spaniel
Well after 34 days, yes i have been counting, i actually managed to get out this afternoon for a bit of fly fishing on one of the clubs local ponds.. I dressed nice and warm so obviously the sun came out Although i could see the trout moving they were very hard to catch.. I used a Diawl Bach with very little colour and eventually i got a pull. It gave a good fight but after casting the fly for approx 3 hours to get this pull, i was not about to lose it.... Now sitting filleted in the fridge ready for tomorrows tea.. A nice 2.5LB Rainbow. Any body else manage to get out over the weekend

ack-ack
I logged onto the new Bewl site earlier and the water levels are up. The fishing has been quite good as well. Was going to have a thrash this weekend but my heart wasn't in it I'll wait for a brighter day.

flyshooter
Had four @ 2lb mark Saturday from syndicate water. They where sipping at the top in over cast, slight drizzely weather. Size 14, light, wet fly seemed to do the trick, with very slight jerky retrieve, they certainly were not chasing their quarry. Not too keen on sunny days, drives them down in clear water.
