MG6065
Got the chance to get a Valmet over and under 12 bore non ejector for 150£, what are these guns like?? It seems nice but was just wandering if anyone has any information/experience on them? Is going to be an all rounder on the farm? DSPUK
I have a trap Valmet - 28" non ejector - It fit's me like a glove - the only O/U that ever has as most kick my cheek - If yours is like the three on Guntrader at moment they are the real old one's like mine and has same lockup system as kriegoff's - well in fact Kriegoff and Valmet bought out the Remmington 3200 - I did have a problem not long after I had mine - the spring for safety broke and was unable to pull trigger but gunsmith near me took it apart -made new spring- cleaned it - He also fixed a loose forend another thing to look at - One other thing look at sliding bit on top that locks gun shut - does it slide fully shut so it touch's front part of barrel lugs it slides over - if so then gun is really worn - should be slight gap. Just check there is no movement between barrel and receiver Other than that a well made gun and you can buy any other of these Valmet models (Skeet -trap)and all parts are interchangable.
