Chr15j
I decided it might be a good idea to clean my silencer on my FN12. Its the QF model with the quick fill adapter integrated into the silencer itself. I inscrewed the end cap and could only remove the first spring, a washer and the second spring. Deciding I needed guidance I reassembled and left it at that. However, now when I move the rifle around I can hear something moving around inside the silencer. Does anyone have experience of stripping these out for a clean and if so how do I do it and what can I hear rattling around now and should I be worried? Many thanks, Chris
marnold
Hi Chris (PM inbound by the way regarding lease ), I had exactly the same issue - after taking the baffles out (white plastic bits spaced using springs that are the shape of a figure of 8) the rattling turned out to be either the third or fourth baffle in mine had broken. The top half of the figure of eight had snapped off from the bottom half and was rattling around. This had caused really poor accuracy as the pellet was clipping the broken bafle on the way out and I couldn't hit a piece of A4 paper - the reason I investigated the silencer in the first place. If you need any help dissasembling it, let me know

Also do you know where I can source replacement parts for the silencer? Look forward to hearing from you re leasing All the best, Chris

I don't know about Chris, but my Falcon has always been a bit twangy - the QF silencer is not much cop either. Taking the baffles out made very little difference to be honest. Help would be appreciated. I think that I have a broken baffle, and it may account for the poor accuracy I'm suffering. Also do you know where I can source replacement parts for the silencer? If I can find the unbroken baffles I have knocking around somewhere I'll send some up to you if you want? What cal is your Falcon?
