Ferret Master
Hello, Following the inevitable cancellation of the CLA, the girlfriend has booked me in to be visiting the Isle of Wight for 4 days as of Thursday. Now, I will have some free time in which I can fish, not least because she learnt to fish and subsequently caught more than me from a charter boat in Pembrokeshire last month. Anyway here's the scoop, we are staying in Shanklin and I have access to a beachcaster (that I'm hopeless at casting with) and a stout sea rod generally used for wanging feathers and spinners from the rocks. I'll be using fixed spool reels. So, basically in an attempt to restore some male pride I would like to catch fish, I'm really not fussy what they are providing they aren't in an aquarium. I'll have my car so can tootle to any preferred spots. Any advice on marks, tactics, tackle shops, local knowledge etc. etc. etc. all gratefully received. If you're an IOW local I'll even buy you a pint. Would also be interested in any personally reccommended charter boats. Thanks, FM
