Al69ec
Can anyone recommend some wildfowl cartridges for ducks and geese at range. The two guns I'll be using are choked at 3/4 & 1/4 and 3/4 & 1/2. Neither are steel proofed and I don't have deep pockets. Thanks :-)

chrispti
Shot size & load? Load, depends on the guns chamber size. For duck Id use shot size 4, 3 or 2 Geese, shot size 1 or BB

The o/u is 1530kg and the sxs is 900kg

The o/u is 1530kg and the sxs is 900kg I quite like bismuth loads, and they will probably be the cheapest for you compared to TMX/heavishot/Tin etc. Eley do some 70mm 36g bismuth loads, they are called forest and alphamax. A box of BB's or 1's for geese and a box of 3's or 4's for duck should be fine. Expect to pay over £30 per box though!! Unfortunately steel is the only 'cheap' non-tox shot. chrispti
Or try and borrow a steel proofed gun.
