p-a-s
Not sure where to post this one, just had my 1st batch of table birds killed and dressed average weights oven ready was 2.9 kg,one weighed 1.6 kg so that has been cooked ready for dinner tomorrow. But the drainings from the roasting pan didnt even equate to 3 tablespoons of juices, and most of that was fat from the maize i fed 10 days prior to them being killed.Just shows how commercial poultry is pumped with water etc. The birds are, where ross cobbs killed at 7.5 weeks old and have a lovely golden sheen to them, cant wait for sunday dinner. silver pigeon 3
Top stuff mate, our table birds are coming on well. They are White farm rangers, so slower growing than yours ready for cull when 14 weeks old You can't beat home produced meat, looking forward to when the lambs and pigs go to slaughter too.
