Andy17
hi all, Whilst giving the ferrets a run around the garden this morning I noticed that the two hobs had orange lumps on their stomachs, legs and genitals(not loads but a few). They had this a year or so ago when I first bought them and fortunatley it cleared up after I cleaned the said areas with lightly salted water. Just curious what it could be and whether others had seen it on their ferrets??. I did bath them a couple of days ago after they got covered in soil and mud with a ferret shampoo but I thought the symtoms would have showed sooner. Any ideas? thanks in advance yis andy
Ferretboy111
Orange lumps, meaning big lumps? hobs tend to get an orange speckled dead skin kind of looking thing, its just their scent glands producing sent mixed with dirt getting caught under the fur. Saw it on animal hospital. Alex
Andy17
the lumps are around the size of the head of a drawing pin (the only thing I can think of), seems like it could possibly be the scent glands then ferretboy, bathed them in lightly salted water and it seems to have cleared a little. thanks mate. yis andy
