Down South
I was going out lamping last night and needed a quick fix to mount a lamp on my truck. The scope mounted Cluson lamp I have is a pain a I get too much reflection from the barrel and mod and I can see sod all through the scope. So lamping alone, need a portable lamp and a search light, don't want clutter. Solution. Get a broom handle that you can attach the scope mount to. Cut it so it fits in your truck window opening. At one end cut the sites away to leave a tongue about an inch long, at the other end cut a slot in line with the tongue. Unwind your window, push the tongue into the top rubber slot and then wind up the window into the bottom slot so its nice and snug. The lamp is connecting to the portable battery and you have a good portable lamp when you need it with a good handle. Done.
