shotgun sam
Over the last few days I have noticed when I drive if the road is slightly uneven or there is a small pothole my car (Octavia) gives a slight twitch leftward this only happens under those conditions. All the tyres were replaced 3 months ago so I can rule out worn tyres. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? Sam
malantone
There could be a few answers :- worn trackrod end , worn wheel bearing, worn steering rack, no one can give an answer without looking, take it to the garage. Good luck Tony A.
wickedwickedmotox
Probably a worn wishbone bush, common vag group fault across passats/octavias as they run near identical wishbone setups, cheers Will
AdamHall
As above the rear bush on the front wishbones are very prone to wear on all vag models audi vw skoda to name a few very poor design if so and they do need replaceing get them replaced with the solid rubber bush that is fitted to the sports models dont give any problems then if it is that of course you till need to check the usual first balljoints, track rod ends , steering arms check the tyres for un even wear have the tracking checked also check the anti roll bar bushed as they also give issues on all vags models and have had them cause pulling over issues over rough ground as they corroed up and have a plastic sleve which can puh the anti-roll bar over but as said all guesses with out haveing a look impossible to say so check all the above or take to a garage mate but stay awa from main dealers theyll tell and sell you anything lol
