M ROBSON
My dad is a goose guide and shoots 5-6 days a week from the start of October till the end of January. He uses 70 standard sized, full bodied, Speckle belly decoys painted up to look like Pinkfeet. The more decoys you can manage the better, safety in numbers and all that. He finds the full bodied decoys are better, especially for the spooky January Pinks.
bill
m robson that sounds like a good number i and some of the hunters here have been useing full bodys and shells in other words good decs out in front then photo silos to make up numbers in the back of the spread but you can mix them up on an over cast day one of the main problems with photos is that on a bright sunny day they shine
hunterswind9465
I am a full time guide working in the Aberdeen area, we use upto 350 decoys mainly carrylite shells with around 25% full bodied carrylite,s this season we are useing 5 of Deakos flock coated flying geese and I have to say they realy pull in the geese better than anything I have ever seen.
