Shooting stories and Reference E-book

Morning,

I have been thinking about the collective stored wisdom, stories and humourous incidents lying dormant in the experience of the PW community.

Also, how this might be used to provide insight, interest, amusement and references for all of us and for the simple purpose of making our sport more understandable, more interesting and more accessible to interested people generally.

It occurred to me that there are other books we have read, Norman Mursell, Recollections of a Countryman etc which provide some of the mystery and excitement of what we have done all our lives, Bringing all this together in a 'book' on line would allow the inclusion of references to vids like Jack Hargreaves, how to contact shooting organisations, a directory of shoots etc.

To make something like this work, it would have to focus initially on the core info, members stories and country 'tales' and then expand if participants are interested. It would require members to send storied - perhaps to a thread and then these collected and 'tweeked' and brought together in a single accessible point - maybe, if interested the Mods could advise?

So is this of interest to anyone - would members provide anecdotes/stories/ etc?

If theres any interest I'll start the process of working out a way to collect refine and 'publish' this stuff on PW and then perhaps it could go wider.?

The success of the idea does rely on PW members so is there any interest or is there no tree here to bark up ?

Thanks

Kes
