Walker56
a soft toothbrush ? Wasn't thinking of what tool to use but what sort of cleaning products to remove the grime.
Wolfgang5150
I've just restored a 60 year old shotgun, it has very ornate side plates and I used a fine tooth brush with white spirit, they came up really good but be sure to wipe off and dry any excess as it will mark your stock, when I finished cleaning them I polished with solvol autosol then buffed it off,
