Wildfowler12
Not sure if this will work but i'll give it a go! I managed to film this at the weekend. I dropped a wigeon a good way out at high tide and the dog was straight on it. I hadn't realised until he was close to the bird that he had swam over the decoy line and took the deeks there and back with him! Just thought I'd share it as I was made up src="http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x322/wildfowler69/Wildfowler12/27D1B0BE-4DE6-4B4A-B2DC-7C2C2BDE1C35-2618-000002A2BB61B10A.mp4" Edited October 15, 2012 by Wildfowler12

tigger
Top draw, thinking of getting one of those neoprene jackets for my dog - any good ? I rate them highly mate been using them for a few years especially after we had -8 odd in this area then expecting our dogs to go swimming mine have come out and within ten minuets turned completely white so it obviously very cold for them certainly helps I think I use avery and dokken supervest from gun dog gear have a look here http://www.gundoggear.co.uk/standard-3mm-neoprene-dog-vests-171-c.asp

Certainly are mate, you've just got to make sure you get the right size. I'm actually going to have to sell that one and get him another! Too big and they don't hold the warm in, too small and they rub badly. The one I've got has floats in the back for doing river work they're great. I must say my dog seems to be able to retrieve a goose from a running tide a little easier and seems to keep his head up a bit more don't no if I'm imagining it but I believe it does but most certainly does keep them warm just put your hand under it and its well toastie even in sub zero temps.... Does the one you have rub on the dog atall? It was fine the first time I used it, but last weekend it rubbed under the top of his leg (sort of armpit area). I'd say it definitely adds buoyancy and makes river work easier
