Well what a day! I haven't been able to get on the pigeons for ages due to other less important issues (such as getting married). Iv been watching a few maize feilds that where cut last Monday and was able to get on it yesterday for a few hours....I took a friend with me and got to the fields by half 11 (after paying are respects to the fallen) there was a flock of around 100 birds on there so decided to watch for half hour to get a better idea, after deciding where to go we both set up at opposite ends of the ground in perfect postions....within 30 seconds of stepping into my hide I had my first shot on a ferral and they just kept coming, I have never seen anything like it! As I dropped one, two or three where dropping in else where with no regard to the noise....if i hadn't for so excited and could shoot straight i could have easily had 40 odd in the first 20 mins but as it was I couldn't :)

My friend wasn't getting much action in his spot so told him to join me, so we spent the next few hours popping away it wasn't as action packed as the first half hour but I was in no way complaining as it is the best few hours/days shooting I have ever had!

We where packed up by 4 wiv 3 collars, 4 blackies,23 ferrals and 42 woodies

The most i have ever shot in such a short time!!

Am working back by the fields today and there are more birds on it then there where yesterday....I can't shoot it again though for another 2 weeks, just hope they hold on it that long!
