oldandnew Posted September 25, 2006 Report Share Posted September 25, 2006 Hi all just some advice please got the mk1 hw100t .22 rifle and wow its the dogs do da's only problem is the noise it makes , now current mod slips on and is held tight with small grub screw after speaking to hull cartridge today they inform me thatif i send them the barrel and mod they will send me the updated version with the 1/2 unf thread tip so i can update my mod cost about £65 time about 2.5 weeks problem they wanted like a proof of original purchase and my gun was second hand ?? do you think a really top end engineering company could perform the threading of the barrel ? and also when i get this done one way an other does any one no where to purchase a mod cover in neoprene preverably realtree ?? thanks all oldandnew Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My dads a precision engineer and hes made all sorts of wierd gear for me before on a CNC lathe, I imagine all they would need to know is the material the barrel is made from and the tolerances etc....which you could show them by showing them the moderator you intend to put on. Unfortunatley I dont know which engineering company or how much it would cost, but im sure it can be done on a CNC lathe! I mean 1/2UNF is a more american style thread which is used a lot in radio aerials and cables! -Andrew I will make enquiries for you tho!
