coneyhunter
Hello all, ive dug out my old Lee Loader with the intention of doing a bit of reloading. The charge table and instructions that came with the load all give different powders and the bushings to use them with dependng on the shot weight but does not go into detail about the use of wads, it simply states that plastic wads should be used and most modern wads will suit the load all. My question is is it safe to use any plastic wads i can get hold of? as we all know getting hold of certain components is difficult in the UK in comparison to the states but i was under the impression that different wads gave very different pressures and this could lead to dangerous pressures. I have bough the clay buster wads but also have some Remington Power Piston wads although i cant recall the wad number Any help will be appreciated
Guest cookoff013
find a decent recipe with european powders and load. most modern wads are extremely different and fit certain hulls. diff wads give different results. most american wads fit poorly in straight walled hulls. some are even smaller. so bleed off lovely pressure.
