woodcock1
Has anybody any experience of these products. Im interested in either the roar jacket or monsoon smock. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ridgeline-Roar-II-Euro-Jacket-Teak-Colour-/321038368660?pt=UK_Sporting_Goods_Sports_Clothing_LE&var=&hash=item4abf60bf94 or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RIDGELINE-MONSOON-EURO-2-WATERPROOF-SMOCK-JACKET-/221167002512?pt=UK_Sporting_Goods_Sports_Clothing_LE&var=&hash=item791a11a0fd. I currently own a Swazi Tahr anorak which is almost identical to the monsoon smock and realy liked it but it has started to leak. Swazi inspected it and said it has tiny punctures probably caused by thorns and is unrepairable, so I need a new really really waterproof coat. Dont want anything warm or lined and it must not hold water and get heavy.
daz2202
I have the roar jacket in camo. Warm and waterproof but doesn't breath well so do get damp inside. I give it a 5 out of 10 Find the rivers west gear better Daz Edited January 2, 2013 by daz2202
woodcock1
Rivers west looks good but I don't do camo, and all their wet gear seems to be camo patterns. Edit just found 1 thats not. Edited January 2, 2013 by woodcock1

woodcock1
Had one of them too. THe outer layer of the one I had soaked water as the waterproof seetex membrane was on the inside. This left the coat very heavy when wet and took a couple of days to properly dry out again. Im sure they have other coats that dont do this. I always fancied one of the duckdri coats. Like the way the water runs off them in beads.
