dcliff
Hi, New year's resolution - lease my OWN sporting rights! I know it's a long shot, but I've set myself a target this year of obtaining my own sporting rights over a small acreage of land to create a small but well-run little game shoot. Fully willing to pay the going rates as I appreciate that just getting a foot in the door is the biggest hurdle. I've been involved with DIY and commercial game shoots for the best part of 20 years, I feel it's time now to branch out on my own - like going self employed I guess... which I also did 3 years ago and never looked back! I know most people on here have their own permissions, or are searching for other permissions, but I'm spreading my net far and wide to see what sort of response I can generate. I, too, have my own permissions. but "my" farmer is unwilling to lease the rights to peruse game. I have asked him to keep his ear to the ground and talked to him about other farms in the area that might not already be leasing game rights to someone. I'd also be keen to hear from other like minded sportsmen in the area (York) who might want to "join forces" with this. I can generate a nice little syndicate from the people I know, but the more people pulling in the same direction the better! Anyway, it's out there. All leads welcome! Thanks. David.
