rascal72
Taking advantage of the snow covering ive been out checking perimiters on some of my permission tonight taking my 10 yr old daughter, I thought tonight may just be a little cold for this introduction to vermin control as I wasnt going out expecting to acually see much so taking a chance that she would get bored and possibly frightened in the dark cold of night, with no chance of her getting cold as she had more skins than an onion on!!! Off we went. The first three fields didnt show any signs of life, surely bordem would set in soon so using the wind and explaining all the time what and why we were doing what we were my 10 yr old daughter kept the faith. On approaching a small beech wood a quick flick of the lamp lit up a roe deer and that was it she was hooked!!! We watched the deer until it contentedly went on its way as we did onto the next field where no lamp was needed the daughter spotting rabbits with no help from myself and then there it was after the eighth field charlie showed himself unfortunately out of range of the .22 I had tonight but none the less this had the next generation hooked and the trip educated me as to how much more I need to get out on this patch !!!
