norfolkboy84
For some reason my .17hmr bore snake doesn't want to drop down the barrel despite it being clear, was working fine until i tried some of my mates cci and remington ammo this weekend. It seems it's been magnatised? Has anyone else had a similar experiance? Thanks.
Blunderbust
Has the new ammo (CCI/Remmi) you are using got the packing wax on them, if they do then this might be what is stopping the weight on your bore snake getting down? Gimlet
This happens with my .222 as well sometimes. The weight in the smaller calibres is too close to the size of the bore, a bit of fouling and it won't slide. A shake usually gets it down. My HMR gets cleaned with brushes and solvents every 100 rounds so it doesn't see a boresnake when its dirty, but .17 an .22 boresnakes should have longer weights on them.
