Daany Posted February 7, 2013 Report Share Posted February 7, 2013 I'm looking at geting a pick up I'm looking at ranger or the d40 but more the nissan as I have a new shape Terrano and can't fault it 1 bit, I'm just after a little advise on the nissan, if any one has one what do you think off them so far iv herd mixed reports. welsh1 Posted February 7, 2013 Report Share Posted February 7, 2013 I have a d40 on a 58 plate and love it,i do about 6-800m per week and it is very comfortable i have cooper discovery atr tyres on it and they do the job on and off the road.Look to get about 30-32mpg out of a d40 manual.the only thing i had fail so far is a clock spring in the steering wheel that controls the air bag,nissan wanted £490 for a complete assembly and then fitting costs,i got the clockspring off ebay for £120 and it was fitted by nissan for £48.50 so shop around if things go wrong. I love my nissan it eats the miles in comfort,has all the gadgets on it sat system ,phone,cd etc and very nice armchair leather seats,just look around for a decent one with a service record. The 4x4 will do the job for your muddy field or dirt track,but if you are doing serious stuff off road look at landies etc as the d40 has fixed diffs.
