Simple formula for wind drift

I realize that most of your shots there are probably under 300 yds and wind drift isn't a big problem under most conditions, but I have happened on a pretty nifty formula that is accurate enough for most targets. It works well enough to use with most calibers and BCs at hunting distances and medium size targets. And it is faster than using an ap in the field.

Distance in yards(X 1/100) x wind mph divided by 12 as constant= MOA

400yards in a 10mph wind would be 4X10= 40 divided by 12 =3.3 moa

If you know the distance and wind speed you can be pretty close using this.

Some practice at reading mirage really helps in determining wind speeds at different points to the target.
