clay shoots on the Isle of Wight

Going to the Isle of Wight on Friday 26th April through to the 28th.

Is there any Clay Shooting to be had on any of those dates?

I am going with my wife, but the opportunity might arise. I am staying at Shanklin, so the next question is, are there any decent Real Ale Pubs?

Thanks

Terry

you will love it im off there soon for a well deserved break taking my gun but ill get cartridges there saves alot of aggro

There's no aggro with Wightlink provided you declare what you're carrying. Preferably you should have less than 1,000 cartridges and they should be in unopened packages. Guns will be separated from cartridges or car keys will be taken for safe keeping during the crosssing. Lymington are more used to all this than Portsmouth. There's also no charge made.

Can't speak fo Red Funnel.

That's why Wightlink don't make a charge, to encourage honesty.

Do they need to know?

Under the Carriage of Goods by Sea Act, yes. And the rules are totally different to road transport legislation, determining what's "hazardous goods" is a nightmare.
