Martin g Posted May 17, 2013 Report Share Posted May 17, 2013 Saw my first brood of wild pheasants for this year today whilst driving on the track on the edge of the wood. The new mum popped out of some long grass on the edge of the track just 10 ft from me, walked to the middle of the track and stopped. So I waited patiently to see where she was heading, when all of a sudden 5 chicks which looked no more than a day old came out to follow and she took them to the over side of the track into some more cover which was on the edge of a field. I hope they get through the weekend because the forecast for tomorrow doesn't look favourable. Sorry there's no picks but I don't carry camera round with me..
