Richy p Posted May 18, 2013 Report Share Posted May 18, 2013 Was out on one of my permissions last night, was a dark evening with low cloud cover but was very still with little breeze. See one in the first field but wouldn't play ball, carried on round the farm and got back to the first field, i called for a bit and one showed out in a gateway about 200 yards, just about to pull the trigger and it was off. Picked it up in the next field but wouldnt stay still for long, got on it and took the shoot a bit rushed but was expecting the satisfying thwack but missed, was a bit gutted but will be there for another day. As we were moving to another permission we stopped at a single field just on the edge of the farm, got on the call and one was sat 100 or so yards away when the lamp came on which was quickly dispatched with the 22.250 We hung around for a while but nothing else showed, moved on to the next but didn't even see another one so called it a night at about 3 am. http://i1355.photobucket.com/albums/q716/Richyp1981/2013-05-18003809_zps25ae74e3.jpg Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
