CROWalYeLikUrDEAD
I'm getting a new scope for my CZ HMR.. I have a chance off a Smicht and bender second hand (GERMAN MADE) fixed 6x42 at around £400 or a leupold vx 1 3-9x40 £300. (Brand new) Does it come into a rimfire rifle having a Smicht and bender scope the same as having 19" alloys on your Peugeot 106?? Is it needed?? Or a leuopold brand new variable scope be ample?? Bearing in mind I possibly could go for a higher powered rifle in the future (but in no rush) Tonight had a look through a zenith 2.5-10x56 at the edge off dark for rabbits and for brightness it's a class off its own. How's the leuopold fare out at light gathering abitily dawn and dusk?
zx10mike
both scopes are good very good.i personally prefer more mag for head shots around 100 yds. many don't and a chap i shoot with hits heads every time at 6x mag my leupold is awesome in the low light and i personally think the glass is as good as any you can buy.with leupold some people struggle with eye relief mind.i run a schmidt pm2 and the cross hair is allways very clear. Amazed
I am using a leapould fx111 6x42 on my rimmy at the moment and its perfect. I would see which reticule would suit under the lamp as that's where you will end up
