kipper
Here in derbyshire we have those blue bin's for recyclring tin cans etc which I think is a great Idea because it means I have allways got a good supply of Empty tin cans and stuff to use as targets when plinking in the back garden. However I have been looking at the nockdown targets you can buy in various designs. on sunday I ordered a resetable pigeon and a spinner/ resetable target from nockdown targets. I was Quite impressed with there web sight and the range of targets they make. They both arrived yesterday (very good service I thaught). Anyway the targets are fantastick you dont have to pull a piece of string to reset them the pigeon one you shoot in the head ( wich falls down) then to reset it you shoot a disk in body area witch resets the head back to its normal position. the resetable spinner one has a disc at th top witch you shoot and nock down then to reset you shoot a small disc in the centre of the target. This one also has a spinner on each end of the target. its good practice and great fun. look at www.nockover-targets.co.uk for a full range of targets they make. I am not employed or linked to them in any way, I just think they have a good product and they are very good Quality. ( and it beats picking those shot to bits tin cans up in the rain ) Thanks kipper.
Conygree
I simple use card to zero up then being on a large shooting estate we use loadsa cartridges, it really makes a good shoot out with my son, line up a row on a feed drum then fire away from 20 - 35m in different firing positions. It puts pressure on each of us as when you are about to fire the cart can disappear and puts fun into targets. We have made assault courses in the woods with cans set into trees, really helps with squidge shooting. For Pigeon shooting practice we shoot conkers out of trees - with 4,500 acres I think its safe? But the best target is to set up your favorite CD and shoot through the hole in the middle - I'm not that good.
SNAKEBITE
I use paper targets. Not that imaginative I'm afraid! I mainly use the bisley ones for zeroing and then move onto a couple of rabbit targets to get the practice in. There is a webiste where you can print off free targets. If anyone canremember the link is there a chance that the mods could sticky it at the top of the section please? Not turn it into a thread as such just post the link and lock it off. Much appreciated.
dibbz2000
I made a few simple targets from some wire and empty shotgun shells! Does the trick! Make a few and stick um in the ground at various distances and make the wire different lengths to get some vertical shooting in! Im so bored here in college ive made you a diagram
