joepublic99
Hi! I live in Horsham, West Sussex. I have a few questions! Can you help? First off I have an air rifle - do I need a licence for it these days? Second: I don't think shooting anything in the back garden will be good for neighbourly relations (though I am tempted at the cute fluffy squirrels that raid the bird feeders) so how do I find a place to go .22 hunting? If anybody happens to know where I can go in the Horsham/Billingshurst/Crawley area that would be a great help. Or Is it just a case of find a farm, ask the farmer and away you go? Is it possible to register with the council as a pigeon/squirrel "remover"?
Axe
Before you go anywhere I would suggest that you have a good read up on the following website. http://www.basc.org.uk/content/airriflepractice

That was very useful. Are you able to provide any advice how to approach a landowner for permission to shoot on his land?
