army646
Was crowning out shot birds the other day and came across a couple out of a bag of thirty that had what looked like soggy patches under the joint between the wing and the body that was seething with loads of really tiny, clearish maggot like critters. When I say tiny I mean 1mm or so long. What I did notice is that the birds in question were young ones. Did someone post about this a while ago and if I am right in thinking were they the larval stage of some sort of feather mite from the nest. If I remember rightly are they called Hypopi or something like that. Anyone else seen them on shot birds recently? If I see them in the next bag I will take some photos.
