byjovecarruthers
I have a forend sling attachment for my Urika and think I'd like to fit a sling. Where abouts on the butt stock would you fit a sling swivel ( I don't want to mess things up by drilling in the wrong place ) and which is the best sort or make of swivel to fit. I'm taking some well earned leave in Texas in a few weeks and will be visiting at lest 2 of the three Cabela's so should have plenty of choice. Any advice is welcome. killer_pigeon
any stud will do I think I used Talon or uncle mikes when I did mine. put it 2 inches in from end of the butt. you will need to countersink the hole to allow for wood movement as I recall but the stud instructions tell you what to do exactly. Uncle mikes swivels is the ones I use, the yare solid and strong
