flight pond

hi all

I know its not proper fowling but I had a great evening with my bro down my permission this evening, ive bin feeding our pond heavy for a good month and in the last week I noticed the feed was goin way to quckly than before, and all the tell tale signs of geese were everywhere,

we set up at about half 5 and within 10 mins of bein there our first skein were coming in, my bro has never shot at a goose before so his nerves got the better of him to start with, I manged to drop 1 out of them, we had a bit of a wait until I could hear the honking coming,

as they were coming in they started to veir off but the back few were in range, I managed to drop 2 and my bro got his first goose so he was well chuffed,

after that no more geese came in so we waited till dark to see if any duck come in,

right on dark a pair of mallard come in and we both had 1 each

we finished the evening on that, which was more than enough for the pair of us,

cant wait till next time, by thr way how is everyone else getting on with their flight ponds?
