rtaylor
Further to the scope zeroing question. What are peoples views on boresighters? Are the laser ones better than the sight ones? There are laser ones on ebay for about £15 would these be suitable to get me on paper or am I better off spending £35+ on a bushnells? Are the ones the shape of a round any good? Cheers Edited October 13, 2013 by rtaylor
malantone
I BOUGHT ONE IN THE SHAPE OF A ROUND, TOTALLY USELESS, SO I INVESTED IN A BUSHNELL, PROPER JOB, BUT THEY ONLY GET YOU ON THE PAPER.
rtaylor
Good to know the round shaped ones are a waste if time. The eBay ones are the same design as the bushnell but not as powerful, I guess the question is, is the extra power worth twice the price? Blunderbuss
You can bore sight without one of these gadgets. Rifle in a workmate, clamped to a table or one of those MTM cleaning cradles. Bolt out, look through the bore and centre it on your target. Adjust scope to centre on same point without moving rifle. As above, it won't get you bang on, but will usually get you closeish so you can fine tune with a few shots, instead of dozens (potentially) without bore sighting.
