The Essex Hunter
I have found it is far more productive to walk and shoot (foxes) for a few reasons on my ground, the wild birds schemes and stewardships don't allow driving. Also with no truck the noise factor is virtually nil, granted huge blocks of land take some covering but you can miss foxes as the temptation to lift up the clutch instead of waiting is quite high. Lots of people use them and the LF stuff is good, also not so hard to fit but one thing it is easy to spot a lamping truck during the day!! If you can drive over your ground it could well work for you, I shoot with some lads who use a lamping truck, what happens later in the season is the sharper foxes will stay out at 300 yards plus. The young and dumb are easy to get, but what I have found if one fox is behind one you shoot they learn about the lamp very fast.
