shooterman49
hi guys, after reading the threads on cider making on here i decided to give it a go my self. after pulping and pressing the apples i filled 2 x 25 litre containers with the juice and added one sachet of yeast to each container. one lot is now bubbling away quite well but the other hasnt started. both containers were steralised before starting so i am not sure what has gone wrong. can anyone offer any advice or should i just pour it down the drain ? regards pete. Outlander
Could be temp related try putting the non bubbler in the airing cupboard to warm up to around 18 degrees otherwise it wont start working.if that doesnt work keep in the warm and add a new yeast or if you are feeling brave mix both lots together and hope for the best. Kes
Mix both together and place together in plus 70 degree heat - airing cupboard - stop watching it and it will be fine. Leave 3 months, taste take off the lees and leave a further 3 months - perfect for summer.
