Donnie
So had my first kennel for the last three years and due to house move have been out getting quotes for a new double barred kennel. So my question is do I go for the full height sleeping area? Pro can then fit heat lamp for dogs to dry out after swimming / duck shooting. Con expensive to fully line to stop the wood rottin due to cleaning, another con will I pay for the insulation but still end up putting a box in there for the dogs as dont want the heat lamp on the whole time. alternative have the whole kennel open but with sleeping boxes but cant then fit a heat lamp, pro in some instances cheaper than full height. I am after a double kennel about 10ft wide with runs on the front then a 6x10ft shed on the rear. what do people think?

paul041075
Got mine insulated full height from duchy farm kennels very similar to reeves etc but a lot lot less. Pros and cons but I would prob go for boxes next time, I don't put them in soaking wet anyway, usually they are dry when going in. Asking for trouble in the long run trying to dry them from a heat lamp. But that's my opinion.
Nuke
12 v underfloor heating? Dries the dogs really good and no height issues. Will have to be a closed kennel if you want to use a thermostat to control it though. /Markus
