thousands of birds on the acorns

Been out 2 days running and both times I was just walking about looking really, I took the gun just in case. First day was really blowing a gale and as I walked up to a wood I shot at a bird then the skys erupted birds everywhere thousands of them swirling around for a few seconds then all flew off in one big long flock to a wood over the hill about a mile away, I waited for ten minutes hid in a hedge and they started to return, took me a few shots to hit the first bird but in the end I got 5 in an hour for 20 shots.. the birds were coming fast from right to left and it was some great shooting.

Today I finished early again so got the gun again and went to see if the birds were still there, I got there by 1 there was less wind witch made the birds a bit higher but still shoot able, birds flying every once I started shooting really hard to pick a bird to shot some times. I ended with 6 today with 2 squirrels aswell.

Really hope these birds stay around it should make some good rape shooting,

Now just need to make a day free to get the decoys out
