mike-b
anybody been out recently??? i tried aldebrough 2 weeks ago everything looked like it should be a good night extra high tide a little bit rough but not unfishable great bait, i tried every distance from 25 yrds to arround 130 yrds and all we got was 3 pin whiting, and a rockling, three days later we used the last of the bait up on a day trip to sizewell we couldnt get down there till right at the top of the tide we fished it down and then on the bottom for 3 hours and bagged up on school bass and dabs nothing huge but much better than aldebrough! i then fished it again last friday night fished the tide up and down and had plenty of small codling, whiting dabs and bass nothing huge again though! WHERE ARE ALL THE FISH??? we should be seeing at least a few larger codling or even bigger dabs and whiting but there all tiny? i know its still mild has anybody else had much luck?? fenboy
I fished Gorleston yesterday with my old chap Caught double shots of Dabs / pin whiting just about every cast from start to finish and that was a daylight session , plenty of in size dabs , I brought 13 home and the old chap 10 , we also returned plenty that were in size but not big enough for our own personal limits A word of warning if you fish there though , a shrimper was working no more than 60 yards out , did not see it coming sat in my shelter and it ploughed straight through my gear dragging a rod over the tripod , quite a common occurrence according to a couple of locals I spoke too , they recon he is a right ignorant ****

fenboy
Very little coming from pakefield at present normally after xmas there and kessingland produce some nice dabs . Yarmouth also is fishing well for dabs at the moment but can be a pain with the weed. Looking like there will not be a decent run of codling for the second year running though which is disappointing
