Mpooleman
Hi there I'm looking for some clay shooting in the Lake District, preferably somewhere within half an hour of Ambleside but anything considered. I have a group of around 14 people of mixed abilities (one former competitive shooter down to a couple who haven't shot) Looking at 28th feb, 1st or 2nd march Anyone got any recommendations / know anyone in this area? Ideally looking for a couple of hours practice followed by a mini competition maybe?? Cheers for any help. BlaserF3
In the 1980's when I started clay shooting most clay shoots were run by local village lads, when off comers started buying property in the Lake District most of these properties were within earshot of the ground and it only took one or two letters to the Council and the shoots were told to close. The last one to close as far as I can remember, was the Drunken Duck shoot near Ambleside.
