Dazza9t9
Good evening all, I was given the opportunity this evening to have a go at some duck on a small pond. This was my first time as this is my first season shooting. We started at 4, into the hides and say waiting. I was with the land owner so very nervous. All sorts went through my mind while I was waiting. Will I see any thing, will I hit anything, then what's this coming in.... Oh no wait it's my eyes playing tricks on my. I settled down and began waiting, a few moments later a silloette in the glowing sky, I sat forward, wings spread out.... Yes. Bang and I hit it. Make mallard. I have to say I thoughly enjoyed it. We ended up with 2 mallard, 2 mallard and teal missed (never said we were good shots) I will defo be doing it again, I really enjoyed myself. And chuffed with my first duck
tlennox
Well done Dazza, I remember my first proper duck flight, I've been hooked ever since. Wait until the geese start coming in, it gets even better.
Dazza9t9
Thank you, oh I enjoyed it. I will certainly be doing it again. I would like to try goose shooting too. I might have to try find a wildfowl club north east/ North Yorkshire
