What are peoples verdicts on the easy hit system then? do most people find that they improve their skills, as im going through the stage of missing most things presented to me, yet 6 months ago i wasnt anywhere near this bad.

Where could i purchase the easy hit from and how much?

You don't need a sight. Invariably you won't be pointing at the target, if you are you are going to miss and no fancy coloured thing attached to you gun is going to help you I am afraid.

As someone a lot wiser than me once said "If you want to do the biz, shoot where it will be not where it is"

If you used to be good, and have tailed off, then try and get someone at your club or an instructor to see where you are going wrong. A lesson or two with someone of repute will put you on the right course, faffing with brightly coloured things to dangle off the end of the gun, won't.

As has been said in the other thread, as part of a lesson if you can, have your gun fit and technique analysed and any instructor worth the fee will be able to see what the problem is and put you on the right track.

As I think catamong has said (and listen to anything he says, he knows a thing or two about breaking clays) most pro shooters remove the bead from their guns, since you don't point at the clay, what's the point of it being there?

Very wise comments indeed, as always theres always good information on the site. I think theres a couple of lessons in the pipeline, to pull myself "back" on track, without the use of the many sights available.

Thanks again guys. Great help. ???

A few guys down the club use them - to be honest if you fitted one, you would be aware that it's there - look at it, and stop your swing.

Get a coach to see where your going wrong, it could poor mounting and/or gun fit.

Keep on keeping on - If it was easy we would all be AA shooters!!!

  • 8 years later...

Bought 2 Easy Hit tube things for a mate with eye dominance issues, red and green. Out of curiosity I stuck the red one on my 28b and have noticed more centre pattern kills on both long shots and those with tricky lines. I am not consciously aware of it and it does not affect my swing but empirical evidence on the pigeons suggests that it works for me and I won't be taking it off.

I had a shooting lesson yesterday as I really needed a refresher. One of the 1st things we did was take the high vis off the barrel. It instantly made a real difference to me and I was completely unaware how much I was focusing on the high vis and not the clay. As wacker said you find you look at the sight and it affects your swing. At least that was my issue, well one of them.
