When this firm was sold to Webley & Scott Revolver & Arms Co Ltd in 1897 he probably continued his apprenticeship with Martin at Martin Scott & Sons Ltd of 13 St Mary's Row. Frank established his own business in 1904 at 80 Bath Street, and in 1909 expanded into 81 Bath Street where he traded as Frank C Scott and employed, amongst others, about 12 action filers.
