paul041075
Looking to change to wright feeders instead of springs, anyone know where the cheapest are? Cheers Paul
Colc08
Wright feeders seem good but the grain you put in needs to be tip top from what I gather. Any chaff and crud that blocks it and you'd have to tip up and empty the whole feeder just to unblock it. Springs can be a pain but at least you can run a knife or screwdriver through the spring to unblock it.
Paul223
Not true, we've been using them for 3 years, the only problem we have encountered was when we had a lot of plastic silage wrap bits from inch square upwards which did block them, as it would any other feeder. We're running over 40 of them. They're spot on, small wheat grain will not run through them and we use them from pellet through to wheat and maize mix. Solway feeders usually do a deal for purchases of 30 or more.
Paul223
http://www.solwayfeeders.com/products/the-wright-feeder-attachment-p4004-c388.html Or Collins nets http://collinsnets.co.uk/shop/wright-feeder-attachment Ps we have also run them in the rearing field on the smaller pellet without any fuss
