HW682
My guess is he left his first one after a season (wonder why?) missed a season (wonder why?), then bought into another one and hey presto........... What i dont get is as a swan isnt legal quarry why throw the lead charge at him? Swans are specifically named in the non-toxic regulations http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1999/2170/schedule/2/made ** which at first does seem odd as they are currently illegal to shoot at all. However, I suppose they could be taken under a special licence? or even theoretically one day added to a general licence - but they would still be covered by the ban on lead shot, just like Canadas or Egyptian geese etc. (** snipe & plover later removed from this list but the online version isn't ammended)
